How to get to Karlsruhe and to KIT:
We usually recommend to arrive at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) as you will find direct services to all European cities from there. Every hour, a high-speed railway connection services Karlsruhe in just one hour. If more convenient, you can also fly into Stuttgart (STR) or Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB, Ryanair). From Stuttgart you best take a rental car though train connection is available with changing trains at Stuttgart main station. From Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden a shuttle bus goes to Karlsruhe main station or you can rent a car.
The Senate room, where we will have our meeting, is located on campus south of the KIT in the Adolf-Würth “Präsidium” building. Please find here a map of campus south. The campus is best accessible from the tram stop ‘Durlacher Tor / KIT Campus Süd’, as indicated on the map. From there it is just a 5 minute walk. A journey planner is available at http://www.kvv.de/. Due to the rail and road tunnel project, departure times and tram routes can change at short notice.
If you plan to travel to Karlsruhe by car, please target “Adenauerring 7” in your navigation system, i.e., the main entrance (Haupteinfahrt) to the KIT Campus.
